Rajasthan EV Policy 2021: Incentives & Subsidies on Electric Vehicles

  • Rajasthan EV Policy Notification Date: 16-07-2021
  • Validity: From 01-04-2021 to 31-03-2022 (For One Year) on all Electric Two Wheelers (e-2W) and Electric Three Wheelers (e-3W)
  • As per the Rajasthan Electric Vehicle Policy 2021, the subsidies offered by Rajasthan Government will be additional to the Purchase Incentives under FAME II Scheme provided by the Government of India
  • The policy is focused primarily to boost the sales of electric two-wheelers (Electric Scooters, ebikes, Electric Motorcycles, etc) and electric three-wheelers (E-Rickshaw, Electric Auto, Electric Cargo), within the state
  • As per the Policy document of Rajasthan Transport Department, the Government will reimburse SGST (State Goods and Services Tax) on the Purchase of electric vehicles (EV) in Rajasthan registered within the policy period as per the amount mentioned in the Invoice / Bill.
  • The One Time Subsidy and incentive provided to the Electric Two-Wheelers & Electric Three Wheelers is based on Battery Capacity

Subsidy on Electric Two-Wheelers (e-2W)

  • Here it is to be noted that as per the EV Policy 2021 Rajasthan, there is NO subsidy / purchase incentive provided on Electric Cars (Four Wheelers), Electric Buses and the important one the Charging Infrastructure

    • Dear Sir,
      ARAI is a Testing and Certification Agency notified by the Government of India under Rule 126 of Central Motor Vehicle Rules, 1989. As a manufacturer, It would be beneficial on your side if your Electric Vehcile is ARAI / ICAT certified. Secondly, here it should be noted that as per some of the State’s EV Policies, the Incentives / Subsidies are applicable only to those vehicles/models which are FAME II validated.
